Late Bapuraoji Deshmukh, the Founder President, established the Yeshwant Rural Education Society, Wardha, in 1959 with a vision to provide quality education to rural and underprivileged communities. At present, the Society runs 22 schools, 3 hostels, 10 junior colleges, 4 degree colleges, and 1 engineering college. In 2002, the Government of Maharashtra honored the Society by conferring upon it the Best Educational Institution award.
Shrimati Savitarani Narayandas Jawandhiya Mahavidyalaya, also known as SSNJ Mahavidyalaya, located in Deoli, District Wardha, was established in 1985 with the Arts faculty. The Commerce faculty was introduced a year later. The college offers co-educational undergraduate programs such as BA, BCom, and BSc, alongside postgraduate degrees including MCom as well as MA in Marathi, History, Sociology, Political Science, and Economics. It is a grant-in-aid institution accredited with a B Grade and a CGPA of 2.06 on a four-point scale by NAAC. The college is affiliated with Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, and was recognized under sections 2f and 12B of the University Grants Commission in 2002. To support the overall development of students, the institution conducts varied activities such as sports, NCC, NSS, and cultural programs.
